Winter soft wheat
Originator: Research and Production Company "Drіada, LTD". The variety is included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine in 2020, for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones.
Biological features: Variety of steppe ecotype, intensive, medium-ripe. The duration of the growing season is 275-280 days, within 35-40 days the grain is poured. Drought resistance is above average, resistance to lodging is high. Plant height 80-90 cm. A characteristic feature of the variety is the uniform distribution of dry matter accumulation in the grain filling phase. In this case, the variety can effectively use favorable conditions (irrigation) for pouring grain at the end of the growing season. Compared to standard varieties, it is not affected by hard smut. Has high resistance to brown and stem rust, powdery mildew. Resistant to Swedish and Hesse flies.
Approbation signs: Variety Lutescens - spike white, not pubescent, 10-12 cm long (with spiny processes 15-20 mm), medium density, cylindrical, in the upper part of the spike 4 spikelets are close. Grain is red, medium, oval, narrow furrow, shallow, weight of 1000 seeds 40 g and above. Spikelet scales ovate-lanceolate, 1 cm long, 0.5 cm wide. The tooth is medium, obtuse slightly curved toward the shoulder. The shoulder is middle, the underside of the ear is beveled. The keel is well defined. The bush is erect, the pubescence of the leaf is weak, the waxy coating in the tillering phase is weak, the color of the leaf is light green.
Economic properties: At optimal sowing dates, the yield of the variety was at the level of the standard, and at late sowing dates (first or second decade of October) under irrigation, the increase in yield compared to the standard was 3.6 c / ha. The maximum grain yield during the test was 87.0 c / ha under irrigation. The variety has a high ability to give productive shoots during spring regrowth. According to the main indicators of grain quality, the variety belongs to strong wheat.
Agrotechnical conditions: To obtain high yields with good grain quality, crops must be placed on the best predecessors and grown on intensive technologies. When sowing in the optimal time for each zone. The sowing rate is 3-4 million similar grains per hectare. At late sowing dates, the rate is increased to 5 million / ha.
